Project Controls Manager, Louis Berger Group, Washington, DC                          April 2014-Present

Duties include setting up EPC Program Controls for a 160 million dollar OBO project located in Moscow, Russia.  Setting up Project Controls for the State Department on the project, review and approve of baseline schedule and all updates, pricing and negotiation of change orders, along with working with the contractor to ensure an on time/on budget completion of the project. 

 

Project Controls Manager, Power Engineers, Inc., Boise, ID     October 2013-April 2014 Duties include setting up EPC Program Controls for a 575 million dollar/five year program consisting of new substations and T-line replacement work to bring power from new wind farms into the existing power grid and deliver to customers.  Developed individual schedules for different line segments and each sub-station, bid packages and bid schedules, as well as estimates for work. 

 

 

Project Controls Engineer, ECC, Burlingame, CA                                              February 2013-October 2013

On Site Project Controls Engineer for OBO projects in Taipei, Taiwan, and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  Taipei AIT was a multi-building complex including an office building, along with other ancilliary structures valued over 170 million dollars.  Duties consisted of producing baseline schedules, schedule updates, time impact analysis and general oversight of the Project Controls Department  Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan was also a multi-building compound valued at over 125 million dollars consisting of a new office building, marine quarters, commissary, and ancilliary support outbuildings.  Duties consisted of oversight of all project controls functions including schedule updates, pay application review and submission, job cost overview, time impact analysis and change order pricing, assembly and submission.  RFI review, their subsequent impacts to the project, along with submittals and material procurement issues and delays were also evaluated.

Manager of Project Controls, Claims, and Scheduling Consultant, Army Corps of Engineer Contract for over 7 billion dollars’ worth of construction for the BRAC Initiative on Fort Eustis, Virginia.  Projects included several AIT barracks, Headquarters Facilities, Tradoc Facilities, etc., at Fort Eustis, Virginia as well as Fort Lee, Virginia.  Duties included working with contractors to develop baseline schedule, review and approval of all schedules submitted for the projects, assistance with RFI/Change Order pricing and impact reviews.  Worked daily onsite with the respective Construction Managers for the USACE and Contractor to ensure that the project met all requirements of the contract, plans and specifications.

Manager of Project Controls, Claims, and Scheduling Consultant.  Represented Maersk as Project Controls Manager for the APM Terminals project in Portsmouth, Virginia, a 500 million dollar wharf, and cargo receiving facility.  In this role managed the review an approval of all monthly schedule updates by the general contractors for the project (Site and Building was broken into two contracts) for monthly payment, as well as evaluation and negotiation of all change orders associated with the contract.    Additionally worked as a Claims Consultant providing Forensic Schedule Analysis for the Department of State (OBO), Virginia Department of Transportation, and various contractors.
